Patrons of the Trish Monaco CD Project

Thank you for your interest in being part of the Trish Monaco CD Project.

Click the button below to make a donation of any size.

Click the button below to pre-order your copy of the first fully produced Trish Monaco CD.

sorry to be redundant with this post and the new sidebar. For the record this post is for the hundreds of email recipients who could not donate or pre-order because of my sub-par link-ability. For some reason, I could not link directly to the paypal pre-order and donation pages in an email. I also found out, donors were being charged for shipping. That's been fixed. It's been a long day!

Plan C

Thanks for your support, words of wisdom and positive thoughts. I am one busy marketing woman over here. I'm reading about business plans and proposals, the ins and outs of marketing and PR, Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors. (did you know there are people out there with excess funds "just waiting" for something exciting to invest in?)

I've started creating my low-end and high-end budget. The more I look at numbers the more exciting it gets. I know it sounds crazy but what can I say? This is a serious project - expected to get serious results. All of this is part of Plan D which will go into full effect once I get assistance with my business plan (questions to follow in the next few days).

But first, this brings us to Plan C - Donations and pre-orders.

Donations -- I'm working on incentives here. Checking into promotional items to send to SuperStar patrons. One thing I do know - donations of $100 or more will receive a free CD upon its release.

Pre-orders -- If you pre-order the CD through me (see sidebar) you will receive the full CD, artwork and liner notes when the CD is released. PLUS you will receive an exclusive free download before the CD is released. This way you can get a taste of how your funds are being put to work. Click here to pre-order your copy of the first fully produced Trish Monaco CD.

Major fine print in bold letters here: We need to pre-sell at least 300 CDs to get this project off the ground. If we do not meet our pre-sell goal (and/or all other parts of plan C and plan D fail miserably) you will receive a full refund.

So, spread the word. If we get FIFTY people to donate $100 each then we are well on our way to the first fully produced Trish Monaco CD.

But don't let that scare you. Donations in the amount of five or twenty-five dollars are just as important to this project. Every dollar counts. Please consider making a contribution that fits your budget. Click here to make a donation to the Trish Monaco CD Project.

There are other ways to donate. We need photographers, engineers, players, web design, artwork, distribution, you name it. Get on the grass-roots promo team. Email me with thoughts and ideas about how you can make a personal contribution.

Today's Mantra - Believe

Did I mention I lost that low-paying, not-enough-hours-job at the beginning of the month? Yeah well, it was a temp assignment and it was time to move on.

It just took longer than anticipated to pick up another assignment.

I started a new job (finally) this week. Full time and more pay. Now that's what I'm talking about. The people are fun and I'm really enjoying it. Wish I'd found this job when we arrived in May. But I know, I know, everything is perfectly timed. I may even be sad to leave at the end of the year.

So aside from a week of bedridden upper respiratory illness, depression caused by a month of no income, and financing falling through for the CD project, things have been great.

I'm still planning on booking studio time and getting players together. I've played three different living room shows and I'm swimming in piles of notes. (read more about it here)

Now for brainstorming.

How can I raise funds to produce this CD? I have a few ideas and I'm figuring out how to go about executing them - investors, donations, pre-orders, benefit shows - that kind of stuff.

I won't deny it's scary and I struggle with disappointment. But I have to keep believing in the project. I have to focus on making it happen as planned. Too many years have passed because of bumps in the road like this.

Today I am the little engine that could! The glass isn't even half full - it's overflowing! (hey, I'm trying)

pre-production

I've been contemplating how to handle this blog and my myspace blog. This is my main blog but myspace hosts my music stuff. So, to avoid doubling up and reposting the same entries, I'm just going to post links to whichever blog entry gets posted first.

That said, if you're interested, I waxed on about pre-production of the album earlier.

I guess I can understand my gun-shyness now that I'm remembering my last experience in a recording "studio" (garage and closet with recording equipment strewn about). It was painful and I was deeply hurt.

If it weren't for the love and support from those in my life today, I may still be sitting around wondering what it "might've been like" to go forward with a project like this.

I know, it's still the pre-production stage but that's movement in itself.

I spent yesterday organizing song lyrics - realizing I lost computer copies when my previous computer crashed. It was another harsh realization when I couldn't remember lyrics to four different songs without having the guitar in my hands. It's often I'm on stage forgetting lyrics until it's time to actually open my mouth. Scary sometimes. Amazing other times.

So we'll be in LA for a few days this week. Fricken YAY! I miss home!

I'm hoping to get a few friends together for a living room preview of potential album songs. We'll do the same in New Hampshire when we return. Since I need to cut my song list in half, I'm looking for honest feedback from this mini-tour.
